What position on a distributor cap for a motor boat mercruiser 140 # 1? And if you can verify that the firing order 1-3-4-2.
I thnk 1-3-4-2 is correct.
Here's how to know where to put the son. Remove # 1 cap, place your finger over the hole and "bump" the engine over until you feel compression (you can do it by hand). Then look and see where the distributor rotor is pointing. Put this thread to # 1. The wire will be directly opposite to the # 2. Do the same for # 4 plug, then No. 3. You've checked the firing order, and the wire position.
