I have a 1976 1150 Mercury Trim boat electric motor. The boat will not be hanging over all the time why? The engine idles fine, starts fine, fine versions, and is reliable insofar running. The problem starts when you put it at full throttle, it pulls out of the hole and begins to level out but falls back into the water and do not roll over 5-10 miles per hour at full throttle the RPM's fall, thus also if you pump the bulb sometimes it is enough to get the engine running, but not one every two that sometimes freeze time. Carbohydrates have been reconstructed, compression checked, the fire and checked the calendar, diaphragm fuel pump replaced and the fuel line was checked for air leaks. Nothing, I do not know what else to check. What could there be?
Looks like you may be cavetating. The air is moving in the proposal does not push the boat. You may want to see if the engine can be lowered into the water a little more. Hope this helps.
It might have to pitch your proposal ... Have you put on thte prop? Ensure that your proposal size and height are the height of the vessel size and WOT (full throttle) and the size of the engine. If the note is too high, it will lower your RPM at WOT making you slow down. The high pitch will give you a better hole shot, too. so that we can explain the odd performance.
