Canoe Tie Downs

I have a Ford Ranger (small truck) and I decided to buy a boat 17 '. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good diagram or description of how I go about linking so I can transport to rivers and lakes and others. I prefer not to fly when I'm on the road. Thank you a lot! Peace!

The easiest and least expensive? I use a metal frame fence posts which corresponds to descend into the rear of the bed, and comes to roof level. In this way, the level rises canoe, and just need a tie to the front, and strap you behind your back support. A thick cover prevents scratching the riding in a canoe on the roof of the truck.
