I'm planning a canoe / camping along the Wye River ... Help? Hello,
I'm planning a canoe / camping along the river Wye, in the spring and summer with eight close friends. I chose the Wye as it seems a popular option with a good distribution of the river which allows us to set up camp unrestricted. We're low on money so hopefully just camp anywhere along the River.
Does anyone have recommendations where to start, stop and stay longer? We have no car then train or bus would be a good idea. We will probably start in Birmingham, etc.
Any advice would be great.
Cheers
There is good access from Birmingham by train or National Expresss which has a recently opened, the bus station in Digbeth. I'm there every month .... my answer here to learn how to find it.

wild camp, I mostly, but a group is a little more difficult to propose sites for.
Only I can canvas anywhere ... even in the gardens of Victoria in Liverpool two hundred yards from Lime Street Station, one night to save a long walk outside the city, completely unnoticed in my little tent Coleman Raid ultralight that weighs less than two pounds that I I planted behind bushes in a wide border.
The only place not to miss classes is Symonds Yat. Park boats somewhere and walk up Yat Rock. The view is magnificent and in summer you can spot peregrine falcons flying around.
Scroll a bit to vieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeww and night pictures of time looking over photos Ross-on-Wye, under a sky full of stars ... great.
