What type of boat is the safest? Our family is planning on buying a boat, we sail on sea.We take sailing lessons as well. I want to know how sailing is the best for sailing seas.Would whether a catamaran or another type?
What building bet?
Good question.
What you need to do is take a good review in the link below. Catamarans (or multi-hulls) or as hard (or dangerous), mono-hull. To cross an ocean, the primary key is to get a true "blue water" sailing ...
Blue-water (often referred to as "offshore") sailing vessels were built heavier and stronger, and their lake inland and coastal cruising cousins. Thus, they are much more comfortable and safer on the "high seas".
Thus, while other personal preferences, in a true "blue-water boat to sail, monohulls and catamarans are as safe ... just different ...
Construction? I prefer fiberglass over a wood structure super ... This creates a very quiet, rigid, strong, solid hull ... but the very "rigid" is the key ... whether steel or fiberglass, you do not want some flexibility in the hull - that both slows and weakens the vessel.
Your questions, the answers are much more on the link below. Check it out, you will not regret it.

Mono Hull is close to offshore winds. Cats are OK, but U can not close the winds affect couriers as they are called to the height pole. That means they go quickly bury the shells and return so they come with an escape hatch in the main cabin. They ride in rough seas Ruff. Have a great bridge over the pit cock. But are there specific issues. Take a sailing course and qualify in various types of sailing boats Charter so few and make a choice on the size and shape of equipment. U will be able to repair and fix most everything possible because it is not a center for offshore services. I sailed for 10 years Down Island Florida to Grenada. Great time had a 40 for 2 effort. Knowing a Sportfish 48 and I live aboard.
