Visit the town of Dartmouth - Devon County Council, is a journey into the past. Its location River Dart in 1127-1190, was the starting point for the Crusades. It is also famous for its pirates, who have been authorized by the king to conduct their raids. The Royal Navy is predominant in the city with the Royal College of Marine training, where all of their officers are trained.

The city can be reached by boat staff, three ferries or a bridge that is eleven miles away. There are three ferries Ferry called the upper Lower Ferry and the ferry passengers. Passenger ferry only carries people and is mainly used as a connection point with the steam railway station at Kingswear. The other two ferries carry cars. These vehicles can be left in the park and ride where transportation is provided in the city and allows exploration without heavy traffic.

The historic buildings have been preserved over the city are fascinating to visit. Butterwalk, a building that was built in the early sixteen hundreds, is of particular interest as the Dartmouth Castle. Walking through the city and to investigate these well-preserved buildings, it's like back to antiquity.
