Someone using a fishing boat flat back? I just bought a canoe city back 16 feet old apartment and I have a thirty pound thrust trolling motor power for her. I wonder what they are like if I can stand and fish hard. And also what I can get it. thank you!

The key to catching fish in a canoe / kayak happens when trailered boats can not go. Look for small streams and lakes in your area that ARE NOT ramp. In my experience of creeks and small ponds can be a GOLD MINE for all types of fishing.
Even if the boats are very stable Discovery series, unless your with someone else I would not stand a chance all day and fishing. You may from time to time standing, but your position is more secure sitting (unless you buy an aftermarket rocker that kind http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa ... ).

Another good idea is to wire your battery in the center of the canoe-Why? It adds weight to the front of your canoe causing you to be able to "track" and easier to paddle in the water when you catch yourself.
Buying a cheap laptop Fish Finder-Most ponds and small waters have never had someone shoot a beam sonar to find out what's there! You can kill the bass, crappie, etc when you know exactly where they are found. Check them- http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa ...

To be honest, my best fishing boat "was a square back canoe 16 FT, I tricked with swivel seats, trolling motor, bow anchor system, and sonar. I caught my biggest bass (10LB 14oz) and most fish in this boat because I took him to places that no one could run it are larger vessels. If I did not fish the tournament I would sell my bigger boat and another canoe stuff ......
