Suggestions better?

Are you limit your options for folding boats or failure? If yes, I had a friend who had a mark Porta-Bote and loved for occasional use. He said it was difficult to handle in a heavy swell, wind, or if, because of the amount of freeboard and the fact that the word "oil canned" (flex so that injured and performance control). Ultimately, he opted for an inflatable RIB (as Zodiac) because he has used in bays and oceans eventually added a small outboard. The Porta-Bote was not well suited to its particular requirements.
