Thank you

Spend a few days in Bangkok at the beginning of your stay and a final night before returning home. To select a hotel near the Bangkok Skytrain road so you can more easily around the city. Hotels in Bangkok will run from 600 baht to more than 6,000 baht per night for accommodation. Sukhumvit Road (end low number) and Siam are popular areas to stay at.

It's low season now, so prices will be fairly good on-site hotels to November. Book a night or two in Bangkok and play by ear from there. In Bangkok, you can arrange flights to other cities or use local transport to travel to nearby towns. No beach in Bangkok.

Pattaya is not far from Bangkok, hotels are cheaper than Bangkok. Transport and restaurants are cheaper too! You can go water skiing and jet skiing, but Phuket is a better beach. You have to go to Phuket and it is more expensive than Pattaya. Jomtien near Pattaya has a better beach in Phuket, but it's even better.

Here are some travel forums you can look over for advice. If you need hotel recommendations say how much per night you want to pay for a room. TripAdvisor and Virtual Tourist forums are very good. Thai Visa is often answered by local expatriates living in Thailand. Lonely Planet backpacker gets a lot of questions.

Here are some choice hotel near the Skytrain route. Asia Hotel (right on a Skytrain stop, not pubs.) Landmark Hotel on Sukhumvit Road. Above hotels are close to shops, street vendors. Some bars around the tower. Swiss Park Hotel, Hotel Ambassador, Hotel Business Inn alternatives. cheaper hotels are also available!

Good luck.

Sorry, there are no beaches in Bangkok. You'll have to travel to places like Pattaya or Bangsaen to find beaches with jet ski rental. Bangsaen is about an hour from Bangkok and Pattaya is a little more than an hour and a half and was much more than nightlfe Bangsaen.
Try sites like hotel Sawadee.com, Asiarooms.com, or Agoda.com hoteltravel.com. for good prices on accommodation in Thailand.

Why do not you go and shop around? Bangkok has tons of hotels / condos available. If I where I wander around the city and check with the hotels / condos that look great (or your budget)

Most hotels will allow you to take a look at the room before you commit. If you choose a hotel online might not be what you expect when you get there.

I'm heading to Pattaya in October. Many rooms until October 31, are valued at "low season". I know Penthouse Hotel rates are B1, 145 on the spot and Pattaya Bay Resort are B999, with one night free when staying seven nights Siam Sawasdee B900 is around Pattaya, and of course P.
