Cruise Ships - Then and Now When you consider making a trip to another country, there is no doubt you immediately consider airline ticket prices. But this is not always the most popular mode of travel. Before there were 747 passenger aircraft to transport people across the oceans, how to travel was by cruise ship. But when it comes to the masses, they are not necessarily luxury ships we are accustomed to seeing today.
Everyone has seen the blockbuster movie, Titanic. It tells the story of a couple who fell in love aboard the ship before its fatal wreckage. While it may be a fictional story, it also gave you a glimpse into what it was aboard this method years ago transport. As you saw in the film, not everyone was treated equally on board the cruise ship. There were pretty high profile clients who were served whole on a platter, but on the lower decks were those who were just hoping to get from one place to another and were forced to eke out a living in a area where they were packed as well as a tin of sardines. If you want to enjoy your journey, you had to be Filthy Rich.
At that time, there was not quite as cruise ships there today. Those that existed were names that everybody knew. Some of these names you may recognize the Lusitania and the Queen Mary.
For a while, the popularity of luxury cruise travel declined, but he reappeared in the 1970s. It was all thanks to a television show, The Love Boat. The staff of the sitcom television has shown how the passengers of a time with. They showed the passengers to relax, reading a number of fun games, meet new friends over great meals and learn to see new places. People started booking cruise vacations again hope to take advantage of some of the excitement. And for most cruise lines delivered. They offered people a chance to go on deck and watch as they headed towards new worlds, to the unexplored. In a journey that they would people on board to see a lot of places they had never been before, and give them a perfect setting to talk about at the end of the day. Some cruises do not even have a final destination, they were simply "cruises to nowhere", a chance to experience a cruise ship a few days. The trend has never really died and has been popular ever since.
What is involved in a cruise that has changed since the early years. So you can always make a transatlantic cruise, this is not the most popular choice. There are now a number of 3, 4, 7 and 10 days for a variety of cruise destinations. The accommodations are not only lush and poor, but a number of different choices of the cab to a wide range of prices. Because of the variety, everyone can now enjoy a cruise, regardless of budget.
