How powerful engine u need to take ski or wakeboard? jetski do? how bigger boat would you need? We plan to buy a toy that we have a NXT vacation lake, but have no idea really. can we draw a jetski waterskier? or do you need a small boat? need a point in the right direction please. Furthermore, a pro con arguments on what is better, less expensive to operate, etc.
yes a jet ski can make a waterskier long, but the jetski would be faced with people heavier (70kg +).
Almost any vessel over 100 hp should be able to easily pull a skier out
jetski: Pros: inexpensive gasoline rational (especialy compared to wake / ski boat)
great for kids and beginners towing
you can take people for rides on the back of the jet-ski is great fun for those not old enough or play enough to be towed again
CONS: more sensitive. what is bad for jumping sports like wakeboarding as a result is used as a ramp (although the result of small can be good for skiing, it wont take the shortest path)
jetski itself may be influenced by diverting or slowing down slightly with a very strong / experienced slalom skier in tow (an experienced skier uses the pull of the boat to turn over faster / net)
ski boat and arousal: Advantages: generally very very good at what they are made to
Following with most boats can be more or less important depending on the use of it. It can be done in adding weight to the boat to make a bigger wake
the person or persons behind the boat usually do not influence the direction of the boat / speed
more than one adult may be towed at a time
CONS: expensive fuel wise
Some boats can be very expensive to purchase
I think jet skis are great toys young family, they are relatively cheap, easy to perform and are good with children. If you buy a jet ski and your group or family really likes water sports tow, u might want to find a better boat if you want to follow this passion
Ski boats are individuals or groups with a passion for their towed water sports. or people with a lot of money: P
in your case you go on vacation, I would try to rent a boat or jet ski (use the RDP and the lists of disadvantages to choosing between boat and jet ski) for the holidays, that way you can tell if you really like water sports or not
a 125hp will draw more people, and that will put an alarm decent, which is often I / O's Run (indoor / outboard motors), which is mainly a runabout, unless you get a chance to get their hands on one of the big boys like a Malibu X-star, Nautique, Centurion, Moomba, Axis, which will be one of these work for a skier and a snowboarder, especially if the rider likes slalom.
I would say that using a smaller engine than 100-125hp will be hard to get a runner to ski / water and then maintain the attraction for the race, the rider must fight for remain in place, who wear down after a few minutes of having to fight to stay in place, the more you can possibly burn the motor up having to plow all that water get on the plane and then complete the driver of the boat and an observer to watch the pilot, and the rider themselves, it can be quite nerve racking.
a jet ski can take a rider (skier, snowboarder), but I'll try to rent one of the "Wake Edition" Seadoo which offers optional ballast box to mount on the rear of the watercraft.
A boat wakeboard specific (or internal) work better for riding and skiing, since you can use for either sport, but they are expensive and most have a capacity of 35-40 gallons of fuel you will pay a lot of gas left
