Pontoon Paddle Boats

Posted on April 23, 2010.
Pontoon Paddle BoatsI just bought a pontoon boat '21 do u really need pallets on a pontoon boat?

Yes, it's the law!

It does sound stupid, but you really do, make sure you got everything in your boat or do you notes, his crap.
whistle
lifejackets
Paddles
waterproof flashlight
floating rope life

yes b / c pontoons using a tank of gas in less than two hours and you can be in the middle of the lake and all o sudden he may die, and if the wind could float on the side you oppisite need to go

Yes, you might even get a ticket for not having. it'll seem unnecessary for a pontoon 21 ', but its better than nothing, if you run outa gas, your engine blows or attached or something.

if the engine dies and you are in the middle of the lake ... but then it would be too late ... as the saying goes when you are in your foot alligators ... it is too late to drain the swamp ....

If you're wondering if the wooden oars, then yes, it is necessary for safety, even if you have a way to move your boat if the engine fails. You will also need life jackets for everyone aboard, a fog horn (small hand held type) fire extinguisher, and California, you must have flotation devices square looking ones cushions headquarters.

Let me check the status of regulations if you need it to be legal, but a pallet on a boat 21 feet is pretty useless, wasting space. Paddles work well for a boat, but you will not make up much ground at all on a bigger boat .... Secondary kicker engine is an option, a trolling motor strong, or as I do, just make sure you have a current subscription to the sea towing in case. I have a similar-sized center console, and a paddle is not a requirement in Florida, it is not part of the security features

your supposed to have but I think its ridiculous

what you need is a way "alternative propulsion.

electric trolling motor or small outboard kicker will do.

Get a good anchor and learn to use it, there's more to it than you might think especially on a heavy boat with lots of exposure to wind, and you do not want to know while being pushed up on the stone wall with an engine that does not start.

It depends where you are, a condition that required safety equipment on vessels 21 'or less. You do not have to inquire with your state.

You can also have a local or Power Squadron USCG For an inspection to ensure that you they will not give you a ticket, but you know what you need to be safe.
Agreed that it may seem useless on a 21 'boat, but the law is there to try to help you protect.
BTW - Do you have a boating safety course? if you can, for your safety and others on the water.

It depends what state you are in. Check your boat regs to see if it is necessary safety equipment. If not, then you do not need necesarilly.

I recommend you wear a good, a paddle or makes a 6-foot train can come handy in many occasions. It's better than a gaff or post if you push yourself out of the very shallow water, pushing on the bottom. This is very convenient to take for another yachtsman to enter by coming along side to keep their boat off of yours and it's very convenient for you to push your boat off of what you're about hitting or if you're the only person on board when aproaching dock type quay. You can slow your approach or a person on the dock can take the other side and guide you in slowly.

As a way of taking the motor boat if the farm, it is pretty useless, but better than nothing.

Go to your local.
