Can anyone recommend a good free checking account? I live in Washington state - our "local" banks are Wells Fargo, Frontier Bank, WAMU, Red Canoe, U.S. Bank and Bank of America. I am sure that Frontier Red and canoeing are smaller banks northwest base. I do not want a credit or debit with the bank, just a small checking account with no service charge and that many features as possible. Thank you to all you wise adults!
I live in Washington state, too. Red Canoe is actually a credit union. Credit unions are usually better than the banks - you will be the owner, as a member of the body, and not just a client. The service is generally of better quality, and costs are generally lower than credit unions. Credit Union deposits are insured by the federal government Ncua the same level as the FDIC for banks.
At the Red Canoe, you can choose Classic audit, which is free, or just intelligent control that has a minimum average monthly balance of $ 250, but you pay cash .5% on all card purchases flow.
Anyone who lives or works in the State of Washington is eligible to join Red Canoe Credit Union.
~ ~ Wamu just what you want, but they were bought by Chase Bank. I do not know if Chase has the same account that Wamu is, but go see them right away. If you register while it is still a bank WAMU, then it is absolutely free, no minimum balance required, and free checks for life:) ~ ~
U.S. Bank checking free, no Mait months. fees, no min. req balance. You get free online banking with payroll as well. The only thing you pay for checks, if you wish. He is demanding the opening of a $ 50 deposit, which is available for you to withdraw instanly. They are also available $ 100 instantly check any advance payments that you make.
WAMU is now in the Chase. Compass Bank is a bank without charge, but I do not know if it is in the northwest. If you use an ATM that charges a fee, you can get your money by mail in the receipt.
