How many feet is the minimum needed for long flights to navigate? i `m planing to sail in my country but I worls has long called on the sea What is the size needed to sail through this? Considering that several times I have to be on the sea for weeks
It usedto be that 30 was optimal. Today many go with a 40 BU should be able to manage yourself. Try volunteering as crew does get some experience.

Generally, what I heard and read, is a 26-foot sailboat in good length. In what you can handle virtually any sea and space for necessities. My 11 feet Snark is fun for short trips!

We cruise at 45-foot sailboat full time. Most people we meet are on board yachts in the 40ft to 50ft range. tend to be loners in the 30ft to 40ft boats. We have not met anyone living long term on anything smaller than if 30ft.
Big is big in terms of lives, but they are much more difficult to manage ports and can be a real handful at sea if you are alone.
I sailed in the islands for two years, 40 is your best bet. a storage room for everything you need.
