Perhaps the most popular place on the south coast for beginners. Poole Harbour offers excellent windsurfing and kitesurfing, with shallow water and calm seas. More advanced kite surfers will enjoy playing in the rough waters of the outer harbor and the sea Not surprisingly, Poole has many shops and stores kitesurfing, selling more equipment kitesurfing you may need, with a group sympathetic local population. All of them will be happy to join you for a beer after session on the road in Bournemouth.
Harbour Weymouth, Dorset
Conditions are so good at Weymouth for the kite that the site was named a Center of Excellence for the 2012 Olympic Games. Flat, calm waters are ideal for beginners to intermediate riders, while experts will revel in the achievement of the highest speeds possible .. Down here in October to see how fast is possible!
Shoreham, West Sussex
Very probably the first place for kite forward in the South. Visit to see Shoreham pro riders hone their skills in difficult conditions. Not ideal for beginners or intermediates, people here are very good and expect the same thing with other users on their site!
Gwithian Beach, Cornwall
An epic place, and easily the best in Cornwall. The NW beach facing the Atlantic catches swell well and creates a mobile playground - beginners are advised not to leave very big day! Usually not crowded, Gwithian is a competitor for the best place in the country.
West Wittering, West Sussex
Kiting at West Wittering is restricted to members only. (User fees can be paid.) Is it useful? Well, the tide at West Wittering gives you a mirror, like the lagoon, perfect for learning or flat water towers. results at mid tide in totally dependent on wind. Keep an eye on the forecast and you'll know if we should expect waves, agitated, or plain water. And the tide is high recess for kitesurfers ahead, watch and learn!
Hayling Island, New Hampshire
Hayling Island is a great place for beginners, results in low tide completely flat until the size of the water for more than a kilometer. This is due to the sandbar Western Winner, which is usually visible in the mid to low tide. The high tide is for advanced kiter and riding the wave of South-east. Do not miss the Fat Face Night Surf competition held annually in September.
Hill Head, Hampshire
Hill Head is a great place for kite first time at low tide. Kite Surfing lessons are available, the instructor is one of the best in the South. The beach slopes very gently, allowing learners to stay well within their depth for a long road, but remember to wear booties if you will be standing a lot. The seabed is composed of sharp stones / shells! The tide may be agitated, with little or no swell, but the waves and troughs can accumulate.
Isle of Tiree, Hebrides
Home to the Tiree Wave Classic, held here in October, Tiree attracts professional surfers from around the world. So it is very good for kitesurfing as well! With at least 9 seats epic, Tiree is like a paradise for kite and windsurfers in the world.
