Strip Built Boats

I'm planning on building a boat house near woods, and before I begin, I wonder if anyone can help me understand the steps to get a hull identification number. The boat will be used / saved in Ontario, Canada. Thank you.

Go to the place where you register boats, and tell them that you're going to build one, and ask how you get a registration number.
