Tuna Fishing Nj

I'm going to my first trip canyon tuna fishing (for yellowfin, mustache, bigeye tuna, swordfish and Mahi) in New Jersey. I prefer to buy my own equipment, however, found a few sets of the range of $ 1,000. Skipper says 80 lb. class tackle is necessary. What is a good choice if I throw on some 50-80 lb test? Thank you in advance!

The lower rod means and the coil is greater poor.You die of slow reel when a big fish on anything hooked up.Try £ 40 / brands for rods within 130-180 or simply say in shoulb 200.Reels be 150 to 220.Go of local address to reconsider their no chance view.gd.

I took a lot of tuna before.
The differnce between tuna and billfish (marlin, swordfish, etc.), tuna have to take the bait and run immediately when you slide your game a bit lighter, about 5 pounds. Marlins can actually sit and maul your bait and will not work if you must drag your game heavy, about 10 pounds.
If you go for yellowfin you will need some gear difficult. I would go with a straight air route 36 kg, pref. an elite and a Shimano Tiagra Shimano spine coil.
Anything below £ 80 online does not cut it.
I would Longfin tld25 (Shimano) and even Shimano backbone elite. Approximately 15kg £ 60 online and trace / leader with a hook 5 / 0 live bait (if your using live bait.
If u get a big yellowfin send me the photo, they are pure muscle and are the gold medal for many Fisho.

PS 50 is an excellent TLD reel, not poor greater. Tiagra are obviously better, but also cost about double. 50 will certainly do the job.
