Yachts Of Dartmouth

Posted on May 13, 2010.
Yachts Of DartmouthI want to go to Dartmouth College?

I will be a sophomore
I have a GPA 4.3 and have all A
I play tennis, softball, and I'm in the choir
I am in the Community of Christian Athletes Club, California Scholarship Federation, Yacht Club, and next year, I decided to join the Garden Club and the American Red Cross Club

I want to do everything I can to get into my dream college and stay on track
My father was a high school counselor to help me understand what I do to get into college, but I am so confused about what to do,

What do they look?
What personal qualities do colleges like?
How can I get scholarships?

Please Help ...

Personally, I think you get ahead of yourself thinking about a specific college of the beginning (they have a program that really interests you?). Your grades (perhaps) your interests (definitely), and you will go through many changes, or at least development over the next 3 years, so I would not worry too much about me in the applicant's engineering Perfect for any school. Enjoy your time HS and as long as you work hard, all doors will open for you. They did for me.

I got into Dartmouth, 4 years ago, but did not agree - I applied on a whim at the last minute. I think with any other place that is selective, there is a certain amount of luck. I wanted to be a biomedical engineer (now I am), and Dartmouth was simply not as good as the place I ended up going, even if they are Namey as an institution, of course.

I was not quite the quality of "resume builder" it looks like you are, and I was not hurt. I would rather do everything (which if you like what you do, c is very good), it is sometimes better for both you and your chances of admission just do some things really well, or at least make sure you prioritize one or two of extra-curricular you do . The lines on your resume will make the application lower if there is no room for them.

I also had my relaxed personality into my test, and I think being a good writer is important. I myself wrote about Mr. Rogers, who was himself a man behind Dartmouth.

I also think it is ironic that your title is about to enter a school of high reputation Ivy League and is a declarative sentence with a question mark ... I'm Ron Burgundy?

To answer your questions in particular:
What do they look: Who the hell knows ... they are probably looking for you to be smart first (you have that covered) and probably a passion for something besides school. Maybe you're really great fan of all those things you mentioned, or maybe just what you do and you really prefer one of them.

What personal qualities do not like college?: I think it's a strange question, because you do not "fake" personal qualities on demand. Be yourself. They will be able to say when they read your writing samples if you're a fake, if you're bored, or if you are interested and / or funny and / or creative and / or a genius.

How can I get scholarships?: HA! Good luck with that. If you're rich, expect to get boned badly financially if you go there. No aid based on merit I am sure you know. If you are not looooooooooaded, then you'll probably have a little money for grants (in addition to a batch of loans of course) are offered. They send you what they will give you before you decide to accept their offer. Cross your fingers. In addition, there is almost no scholarship on the outside who are really to help put a dent in the $ 40k or anything these days unless you just get totally moon. If your family is not affluent, it will always p.
